Private Pilot Licence Course (PPL)

PPL is the basic licence required to take up flying as a recreation. A PPL allows its holder the privilege of flying a single engine piston aircraft subject to the conditions laid down by the  Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) Malaysia (www.dca.gov.my).


Minimum Entry Requirements
  • Minimum age of seventeen (17) years.
  • Successful completion of Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia or GCSE O Levels or its equivalent for overseas cadet pilots.
  • Pass medical examination (Class II) by a DCA approved medical practitioner; cadet pilots are advised to contact DCA for an up-to-date list of such medical practitioners or they may browse through our FAQ for the same; and
  • Adequate competency in the English language.

Course Duration
Minimum of twelve (12) weeks designed to train a person to confidently pilot a single engine piston aircraft and includes:-

Ground Training
Ground Training covers a minimum of eighty (80) hours of tuition and lectures on aviation theory subjects:

  • Air Law, Flight Rules and Procedures
  • Navigation & Meteorology
  • Aircraft General Knowledge
  • Radio Telephony Theory
  • Radio Telephony - Practical
  • Human Performance and Limitations

Flight Training
Flight Training consists a minimum of forty two (42) hours of solo and dual single engine flying.
